He manages to shatter the barrier and gain entrance to the Wellspring.

At that point, Fyrakk is fully taken by the shadowflame, more purple than red. As he does so, he further empowers his axe, Fyr'alath, with shadowflame, using it to strike down the barrier and gain entry to the Wellspring of Life. Fyrakk shows up near the entrance to the Wellspring of Life, mentioning that all his allies are useless, and if you want something done you need to do it yourself.Once the Prophet of Flame is killed, a last cutscene plays out. He's a Druid capable of shapeshifting into the forms of Firelands bosses, with the demo showcasing him shapeshifting into the forms of Alysrazor and Lord Rhyolith. The climax occurs once the leader of the Druids of the Flame, who calls themselves the Prophet of the Flame, has to be defeated. Many interesting pairings are seen such as Chromie and Eternus, Chen Stormstout/Rokhan/Rexxar, Turalyon and Velen, all remaining Dracthyr Scalecommanders, Wrathion and Sabellian, all the leaders of the Maruuk Centaur, Iskaara Tuskarr and the Loamm Niffen, among others. The next quests focus on dispatching the Druids of the Flame, with one quest in specific requiring you to empower the characters that previously appeared on the Endgame cutscene. Alexstrasza mentions that Azeroth is raising against Fyrakk, who is forced to retreat - but Alexstrasza orders everyone to go after him.

It is very reminiscent of the start of the final battle in Avengers: Endgame. As Fyrakk is readying a mortal blow, portals open around them, with many characters arriving in defense of Azeroth - Khadgar, Kalecgos and the faction leaders are showcased here. Fyrakk agrees with her, stating that she happens to be in his way and she will die alone, right then and there. As Fyrakk approaches Alexstrasza in visage form, she talks to him about how he used to fight for an ideal, but all now he's looking for is power.

As Alexstrasza snuffs out the last flame ward, she is directly struck by Fyrakk, who manages to knock her down to the ground.

Once the last flame ward is destroyed, a new cutscene plays out. In one of the quests, you're requested to help Alexstrasza destroy flame wards around the Wellspring of Life.

For some reason, reinforcements have been blocked off of entering the Emerald Dream, so we must prepare for Fyrakk to enter the Dream with whatever defenses we can muster inside the Dream.Īt this point, Fyrakk and the Druids of the Flame are sieging the area near the Wellspring of Life, and we are tasked to complete a series of quests that involve defeating lieutenants from the Druids of the Flame and helping strengthen the defenses around the Wellspring by planting seeds that bring new units, or freeing Ancients of War from the clutches of the Djaradin.Īt this point, Fyrakk is consistently blasting the area near the raid entrance with fire, and being killed by him in this manner does grant the achievement Still Standing in the Fire if you haven't earned it. This cutscene has Alexstrasza, Tyrande and Merithra talking about Amirdrassil starting to bloom, and taking power off of the Wellspring of Life, which has the side effect of weakening the barrier that protects the Wellspring of Life from outside threats.

The questline starts right after Chapter 4, Eye of Ysera, with a cutscene.
